This place is fun with a great vibe and nice food diversity. Tons of room on the patio too. The falafel bowl was delicious and fresh. I'll take any out of town friends here.

This space is a great addition to the Portland food scene. It's a large one story building divided up into multiple restaurants with an inside and outside eating area.

Good variety of restaurants to choose from. There's plenty of seating inside and out with fire pits at night. Cool industrial vibe

Cool little food court with pizza, fried chicken (and soft serve), falafel, and ramen. Bar also available on site. Outdoor seating. Chill location.

It's a hipster's answer to a food court. It's pretty good.

Similar to a food cart hub, this place has multiple food options and indoor and outdoor seating. Good for larger groups and casual meetups.

There are like five or so businesses that make up "the zipper" connected by a food court type area. Haven't tried them all, but the concept is very cool. The Basalisk is very good. Their Dan Dan fries are so tasty. Their chicken sandwich is a monster and also super tasty. There's a coffee shop part of the building, but not connected to the food court area, that has the best loose leaf tea.Parking is a huge bummer. Seating can also be a huge bummer because people tend to linger. Food can take forever so make sure you have at least 30 minutes to wait just to order and get your food, eating time not included.

The zipper is a super cool spot that has a few food places that were once food carts now all sharing a space with a common dining area with swings! Definitely a hip place and a great place to hang with friends. Only ate basilisk and it was decent.

Unique, interesting "zipper" building with several vendors inside. No need to find a place everyone agrees on as there's a variety to choose from. Then grab your food and gather at an outdoor table or a very casual indoor spot. Room for the kids to move around and no one needs to be quiet. Great pizza and a towering chicken sandwich are two of out favorite picks.

Nice inside outside food court

The only downside was the smoking outside. Other than that the food, drinks, and atmosphere were great.

Nice options for food and the seating area is good. Great in the summer when the seating outside becomes more tolerable.

Awesome food! Seating is not great; be ready to hover over a group while you wait, and pounce as soon as a space opens up, otherwise someone else will take it.

09/28/16: 4.5 out of 5 - Wednesday running group wanted try something different so we decided to go to The Zipper. Here we were enchanted by Basilisk. The menu is simple and the food is tasty and the staff were nice. What more can one ask for.What was amazing was how evenly the chicken was cooked. The seasoning was excellent and the chicken was moist. The slaw was good but a little messy.So try this place out once and decide for yourself. This was a winner for all of us.

Great place for a group to eat together especially if you don't all like the same type of food. There's a big common space to eat and several restaurants to choose from. Some have adult beverages as well. Each restaurant also has their own seating.

The Basilisk fried chicken sandwich is incredible. Most amazing sandwich I've eaten in recent memory.

Cool cafeteria likenplace. You get you food from different vendors and can then sit in the communal dining area. They have nice outdoor tables as well which look nice but I haven't been able to try then because of the rain. Pizza, fried chicken, Asian fusion, a bar, and I'm probably forgetting one. If you have a larger group who can't agree on a cuisine this is a place worth trying.

Amazing food, great hang out space

Food from Sari Ramyun was delicious. Finding a place to sit was a challenge. Since it was raining, everyone had to sit inside. I'd recommend going there when it's not raining and the fire pits can be utilized.

Very cool place with a bunch of different places to eat and outdoor seating with fire pits.The chicken sandwich was probably the best thing we had. Ramen was kind of bland. The bimBipbap smelled sooo good, but it was bland tasting too which was a little disappointing. Also tried the burrito from the Mexican place which wasn’t that great.
